Arsenical Copper (C14200 / C14300 / CuAs)
Our Products
Descriptions
Navkar Metal Syndicate supplies premium Arsenical Copper (CuAs) in grades C14200 and C14300, engineered for superior performance in demanding electrical, marine, and industrial applications. This alloy combines the exceptional conductivity of pure copper with improved softening resistance, corrosion resistance, and mechanical strength — achieved through a small, controlled addition of arsenic (~0.02–0.06%).
Arsenical Copper retains up to 85–90% of pure copper’s electrical conductivity while exhibiting higher resistance to hydrogen embrittlement and stress relaxation, making it ideal for heat exchangers, condensers, boiler tubes, and marine components operating in high-temperature or corrosive environments. Its excellent weldability and formability also make it a preferred choice for industrial busbars, transformer components, and electrical conductors.
Every batch supplied by Navkar Metal Syndicate is chemically tested, dimensionally verified, and accompanied by full Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) for complete traceability. We provide customized supply solutions including rods, tubes, sheets, plates, and bars — cut to length, polished, or machined as per international standards like ASTM B111, B152, and B187.
Arsenical Copper delivers the reliability of copper with added endurance against scaling, corrosion, and softening — making it the trusted choice for marine condensers, distillation units, and electrical applications requiring long-term stability.
Chemical Composition
Arsenical Copper alloys are high-conductivity copper grades strengthened and stabilized by small additions of arsenic (As), which enhances resistance to softening, scaling, and corrosion in high-temperature and marine service. These grades — C14200 and C14300 — maintain excellent ductility and formability while providing superior hydrogen embrittlement resistance.

Mechanical, Physical & Fabrication Properties
Arsenical Copper alloys, including C14200 and C14300, retain excellent electrical conductivity and thermal performance while providing improved strength, creep resistance, and stability at elevated temperatures. These alloys are used where standard electrolytic copper (C11000) would soften or corrode under heat or water exposure.
